So what about the fireworks? There was another storm ... but hey maybe you got lucky? (hmmm almost mispelled and wrote "licky" instead of "lucky" ... )

I heard them but I didn't go see them. Going down to the harbor alone seemed boring and none of my friends could come. So no exploding sparklies for me.

Dog/cat dander is kicking my butt. Roomba is running upstairs and I am seriously considering introducing the critters to the garden hose.

In other news, my household goods will FINALLY be here today.

ah thats a shame... quite some here after the world championship... but in general we don't have any special holidays with fireworks except for new years eve. Also about all holidays that we DO have happen to be on weekends this year ;(

Btw. there seem to be 2 new bots: HVNicolas and DrewIT

Oh there are thousands of new bots each day but most don't get to post anything. These two are particularly annoying but though I can delete their posts I can't ban them since I'm only a mod and not an admin. Otherwise they'd be long dead. They'll get banned later today/tonight when Miss Saffron logs on, I sent her a pm about it.

Yes, definitely an up-tick in bot activity lately. I've killed the 3 mentioned above.

On a happier note, happy St. Swithin's Day everybody! Here's the old poem - predictor of the weather for the next 40 days:

St. Swithin's day if thou dost rain
For forty days twill remain
St. Swithin's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare

Hope it doesn't rain wherever you are (especially you guys in the U.K.)!

What about weather with temperatures from about 90-100°F? Cool

Btw your dog is just adorable Smile What breed is (s)he? At first I thought it might be a white German shepard but now I'm not so sure anymore.

On a side note just to get this thread back on track: I'll be enjoying 64°F tonight. Finally some decent sleep!

D'oh!

We have a saying which roughly translates to: "Those that can read have a clear advantage" for situations like these ...

I will be watching the roaring and totally unpredicted storm rage outside my window (that kinds sounds like song lyrics).

Got my Droid X phone yesterday..Spent the next two hours playing with it non stop. Now i got to work, had to load 5GB worth of music onto it. Now i am just setting it up right and getting it how i like it. Lots of new stuff to a guy who was a Blackberry Addict to go to Android. Loving the phone, just taking some getting used to. Overall couldn't be happier with the phone, only lags in one spot, battery life...not doing too well there...hoping to get an extended one soon enough

Almost at the weekend. XD

Same thing I do every night: Try and scrounge up the parts needed to build any number of fancifully impractical contraptions using overqualified components and no end use in mind. Oh so much fun, so much fun indeed. My latest project, which actually doesn't fit into that description at all, is to build a throat mic which is capable of being hidden in a collar without modification or a bulky microphone.

Oh the strange looks toward a guy in a collar conversing with himself. Cool

People don't pay as much mind to those talking to themselves anymore. It used to be people thought you were insane, now they just assume your on a bluetooth. As long as your not yelling and it's a normal tone, no one pays you much mind. I've watched people walk through the entire grocery store, seemingly talking to themselves because their hair was blocking the bluetooth form view.

I'm listening to the Song, If It Means a Lot To You by A Day to Remember. My friend and I are singing it for a talent night thing at my church. I can't really practice on my own because my brother works night and sleeps during the day and my parents sleep when my brother is at work. The two times when everyone is a awake is when I'm still asleep or while i'm at work > <

but hopefully he and I will have a chance soon to practice together...

I'm up trying to get the candy sushi together for Otakon tomorrow. Not a lot this year, but a bunch of extra candy onigiri since I'm tired and don't have a bunch of extra containers like I did last year.

Was shocked to see the new Pet Smart commercial where Martha Stewart is wearing a collar in a couple of shots. It's funny how most people think nothing of this, but to us when their trying on a collar saying "It's soo soft, I could wear it to a formal occasion"it may bring to mind some similar experiences.

Good to know that her new line of collars is encouraging people that they can wear them too. I've got a lot of respect for Martha, she was on top of the world when she got knocked down, but she got right back up without missing a beat. And she may not know it, but she'll gain a little love from furries and bondage fans alike.

That's a fantastic ad campaign! All of us here at the CF offices loved the above Martha pic! I made everyone come to my desk to look at it!

Yeah, I gots much respect for her, too --- a savvy business woman who didn't make it selling s*x -- ala Madonna (although with this new bondage slant...... Cool )

Laptop finally gave out on me; it's fixable, but it'll be an annoying fix. (And potentially expensive.) Until then I'm using my older laptop which is very freaking sloooowwww.....

Bought tickets for Colorado so I can get my niece and Husband can help his mom with the cross-country move. He thought it would be easier to make the reservations over the phone -- yeah right. Doesn't matter that I have the exact flight numbers we want in front of me (since he's going one-way and we want on the same planes) because the agent has to follow computer prompts instead of just jumping ahead. Not to mention the difficultly I had hearing her because all of the background noise on the agent's end. Ended up making the reservations on the internet. Apparently I have to call the airlines and tell them that I'm flying with an infant on the way back. Don't really understand why they need to know, but, whatever.

spent the last two days cleaning out my storage closet and my paintball room. Threw so much stuff out and freed up a ton of space. Have two new kittehs coming monday to live with us temporarily. So we will have 5 total kittehs in a 1070 square foot condo. This is gonna be tight. I cleaned out the PB room so that they can now roam in there too and have a bit more space. I don't want any kitteh braveheart wars going on due to lack of space.

Working again tonight, as usual. Hoping it passes fast. Wanted to play paintball today, but that got denied by the woman due to lack of funds. Sad Sad day, really wanted to play...like really wanted to play. Sad FAIL!

playing around with my Droid X constantly, can't put the phone down. It is always in my hands. dammm i love technology, how did i get by so long without it. Very Happy

Studying for a math test. Boring. Very very boring. I SHOULD be working on making maps for video games, but I'm too dedicated to my education.

This is a stressful month for us. Money is a bight tight and with both of our birthdays coming up and our trip to Cali at the end of the month we are both a bit stressed. Hopefully I will get this job I've applied for. Wish me luck.
