'Tis a bit what my whole situation is about at the moment...
I was hiding who I was, to please someone else. I'm not going to hide anymore...because I cannot live behind a mask. Wear the mask for too long and you lose yourself. I couldn't let that happen... No one should have to live that way. I refused to. Thus, I now find myself separated from my husband and pending divorce. Yay fun.

You'll make it through, the strong ones always do. My only piece of advice is never hate and never become bitter. I have seen some of the greatest people I've ever had the privilege to know become twisted versions of themselves because of a hate of which they would not let go. What good is it to stop hiding who you are if you end up changing into something miserable anyway?
There, the daily wisdom out the mouth of babes and fools. _________________ Let us remember life's such a beautiful mistake. |

Wise words to keep in mind, for sure. Thank you for them.
I've resolved not to hate him, though he makes it difficult. -shrugs- Life is always difficult in some way or another. Surviving is something I'm rather good at. I'm not really worried about that...just tired of the emotional mess.

| Well, including closed piercings I have 5. But either 2 or 3 of them are closed. One on which I'm really annoyed about, which was my lip ring... I had to take it out when I went to the dentist a few weeks ago. And it closed within a few hours. And the other one/two are my upper right ear lobe. I also have one in my left ear lob. |

did i hear my name? lol....i didn't know you were pierced there DB. Wow...learn something new everyday. and three times at that. Word.
I have three tongue rings...one size 6, two size 12. Started off with just one, size 12. Loved it, got two more a year later, and stretched the boink out of the 12 til i got to a 6. Love it there, doesn't need to be any bigger.
Got both nipples done. Hurt like a mofo. Not the piercing as much as the clamping. Felt like getting the ultimate titty twister. Just ouch. The piercing felt...well like a piercing sensation through a sensitive nipple. Not fun, but better then the clamp. dammm was that smarts.
Then yeah...there are the lower ones...the ones all men cringe when i speak of. :scratches head: No idea why. LOL I have a frenum, painless and easy, nice looking piercing through the foreskin. Then i have two dydoes. Those are my faves. XD They look like i have a puppet for a "ahem". Like it has eyes. XD It's awesome. XD They go in at 45* angles from the back of the head, through the head, out the front.
The pain from this broke me. The most pain i have ever felt hands down, and i seek pain and love pain. Hit the limit of pain i could take, and then it broke through the top layer...that made me wail in god awful pain. Just broke me. Then he had to do number 2. Thank god the adreniline was flowing full force by then, so it wasn't as bad for number two. Still broke me...but not as bad. Definitely worst pain i have ever felt...and even breaking my knee wasn't as bad | *paws clamp to his boy bits* OW OW OW OW OW OW OWWWWWWWW >.< _________________

I'm in the same boat. The boat that took me from NJ, to TX, and now to Cali to pick up the pieces and move on. Rediscovering who I am is one of the best adventures yet. I wish you luck in yours.
To add to the thread: Six holes, ears only. I was thinking of getting some adult ones one of these days. |

14 in my right ear, wearing earrings in all but one,
9 in the left, wearing all but one, and those numbers include two half inch lobe stretches.
Double navel, top and bottom.
Eyebrow,
Septum,
and a microdermal on the shoulder to finish things off.
I would get naughty places pierced, but I might want some degree of sex reassignment surgery one day, and then they'd just be in the way. |

I used to have my ears pierced, but I let them grow in after a rather painful incident. >> I'm looking to have them pierced again, twice in the lobe and a helix in my right ear. Plus I want snake bites in my lower lip. But my mom would kill me if I ever got anything aside from my ears pierced. >< Ah well. I can dream. C: |

Or wait 'till you're of age and/or have you own place. If you still want to get pierced by then then go for it! I waited 3 years to get my ears done as I wished and though my mom grumbled quite a bit about it she's fine with it now.
I've probably mentionned it before but I have four silver rings in each lobe and a fifth ring in the cartilage of my left ear. Might get something else pierced when I get my own place (and if my boyfriend agrees which is unlikely), I was thinking maybe some upper lady bits or a microdermal to complement the tattoo I want to get someday (soon hopefully). _________________ Bots, I kill them.

i had my earlobes pierced earlier this year or was it near the end of last? either way.
i was thinking of getting my lip pierced but my boyfriend doesn't really like the idea of kissing me with metal on my lips, then i thought of getting an eyebrow piercing and then i thought of a tongue piercing, but with that you have people asking if there's a more naughty reason for the that... for now it just seems i'm sticking with the ear lobes, maybe get my cartilage later, i hear that hurts more than lobes. i don't look towards getting any naughty placed ones. i was thinking of a tattoo either on my hip or my arm, but i don't know what of yet. Again have to talk to the boyfriend first. _________________ 42 is the answer to everything. |

I didn't get any piercings until I was 18 and it had absolutely nothing to do with my mom. It had to do with me. I swore up and down I wouldn't be pierced just because everyone was pressuring me to get my ears done... after all, my best friend did hers and my sister did hers, and mom had hers and grandma had hers and it would make gift giving so much easier if they could just give me earrings!
...I'm sure that was the reason for the suggestions and "hey, wanna get your ears pierced while we're at the mall?" comments I occasionally got.
I was quite adament about not getting any piercings.
And then I was 18 and two provinces away, and... oh, I have no idea why or how it happened in retrospect, but I was teasing the friend I was visiting about getting her nose pierced. And she was all ALL RIGHT I KNOW A PERSON WHO DOES PIERCINGS. And I was like YEAH THEN I SHOULD GET MY EARS PIERCED. And she was all WELL IF YOU WANT TO. And then the last day I was there, I got my ears pierced and she got her nose pierced. ^_^
Then I bussed back home, constantly poking at them, and made faces at mom until she noticed what I'd done to myself, and started giggling hysterically because at least I didn't come back with my nose pierced, right?
This was my first piercing. It was an addictive rush of adrenaline, and it was for a time I felt very, very loved.
Two years pass. A few deaths, a few other... mildly traumatizing things, and I found myself constantly returning to it. I HAD to get another piercing. HAD to. Yet I fought it back constantly, through the changes and everything else... didn't want to go to a place with a piercing gun so I'd just wait until I went back there...
I thought about them a lot, though. Maybe more in my ears... maybe an eyebrow ring, maybe a nose ring...
Well, back in Febuary, my friend came here. And the subject of piercings came about again. She wanted to get a couple helix piercings; I very, very, very wanted to get more piercings of any sort, and mom kinda wanted to get her ears repierced. The day before she left, I decided, "You know, I kind of want to get my nose pierced." So we found a place the day she was leaving and all three of us went to get more holes stabbed into our faces.
I got my ears redone and a nose ring. My poor mother sat in the chair and winced a bit. I looked in the mirror and said AWESOME.
That was the best spontaneous piercing ever. I love my nose stud so much. (And like the first ear piercing, they both mean things. The ears for loss and the nose for change.)
I admit I currently feel somewhat incomplete. I don't have enough yet. I don't know if I can get enough. It's been a few months, they've all nicely healed up... I either want to start by putting one in my upper right ear, or a third pair in my lobes, or I admit it, I really, really want my eyebrow pierced, I'm just hesitant to do it because I'm not sure what I'll be doing for the rest of my life. I also sort of want to start stretching the bottom earlobe holes just a bit. I love the look of slightly bigger captive rings and plugs but I don't want to go past the point of no return.
Dangit, I'm addicted to piercings already. I should be seeing my piercing buddy in September or December/January so maybe I'll get my helix done then. Or the eyebrow. I keep coming back to it. I WANT one. I also require rings in my helix. NEED.

Oooo. I'm not sure if I should be turned on or horrified by those. _________________

that is usually the only reactions i get. Half the women i meet LOVE the idea of them and want their guy to get em. The other half are horrified and are all, "stay the **** away from me with that". LMAO. It's classic. For many years at any party i went to some chic would find out i had em and would come up and ask to see. LOL always made for a funny reaction

one was too boring for me. So i have three. The middle is a 6 gauge the sides are 12's. Never had an issue eating or swallowing pills or anything. Forget i have them most of the time. XD
probably around five yeard old this pic is (wow that was yoda like speak)
got em done when i was 21. Had em 9 years now...got the middle one done when i turned 18 _________________ "We're nothing like God. Not only do we have limited powers, we sometimes are driven to become the devil himself." - Nicholas D. Wolfwood, Trigun

You're crazay brah.
Nah, I think they look awesome tbh. It's just something I would never do. I don't have an as-high pain tolerance as you, Legato. _________________

Four 10 gauge piercings on my girly bits. I want a total of eight, maybe ten.
Oh, and the "normal" lobe piercings -- just two of those. I struggle with keeping them open simply because I'll go days (weeks!) without having jewelry in there. I blame Husband and his "ooohhh, try these earrings on" obsession. |

No piercings so far, but I wanna get an industrial. This is a definite, I just cant decide which ear. XD
I keep getting the impulse for random piercings, like lip, nose, and nipple, but those pass, and I'd hate to get anything done to my face I wasn't 100% sure about. As for nipple, that's still up for consideration lol.

Just make sure your ear is right for it. I love industrials but it couldn't work on my ear, annoying ridge between the two points. XD |
